A short sleeved baselayer of Superfine Merino Rib, perfect for warm weather or year round use. Merino rib minimizes skin contact to enhance the moisture wicking and cooling properties of the fabric. It's counterintuitive for sure, but we find that it's more comfortable in hot and humid climates to wear a Merino Baselayer plus a cotton shirt than it is to wear the cotton alone. A mini Dolman sleeve is just long enough to cover where you sweat most, but short enough to keep you cool. Wear it alone or as a layer, either way, merino's luxurious next-to-skin feel and odor resistant properties makes this a warm weather staple.

We kept it clean with these cargos. Our 60/30 fabric gives you full freedom of movement, durability and good looks. A-framed overlapping pockets make for a simple look, the front of the pants become the front of the pocket in one piece, reducing seams. Double pleats expand to hold your goods, and tabbed belt loops make sure you can hang. The pockets are a soft and strong linen-cotton.

Our friends at The Hill-Side have been using some prime prints for awhile now. Since they are just around the way from us in Brooklyn, one thing led to another and we decided to team up for a spring collaboration.

They gave us their "ocean print" and we did it up in a lightly insulated soft core vest, perfect for spring. Lightweight 80 gram Primaloft insulation lined with 18.8 micron Superfine merino wool keeps you comfortable and good looking.

Innovation in form meets innovation in fiber with iteration two of our Blazed Cotton Pivot Sleeve Shirt. We took our core patent pending Pivot Sleeve Shirt design and pushed it to the next level with the new second iteration on our Blazed Cotton Shirting fabric. The result a shirt that not only lets you move freely, but also repels dirt and sweat so you stay cleaner and drier even as you push yourself to the limits.

We've been fine tuning and tweaking our Blazed Cotton formulation over the past year with the focus on finding the sweet spot that balances sweat resistance, breathability and good looks. For the fabric we finally honed in on what we call an openpoint oxford, a low twist variation on a traditional oxford cloth. These low twist yarns perfectly counterbalance the blazing process which adds a Nano-Tex® treatment to the fiber. The result is an improved Blazed Cotton, a fabric that breathes and absorbs well enough to be extremely comfortable yet is hydrophobic enough that sweat almost never shows through the fabric.

The 60/30 Chinos are the sort of pants we love to make. Simple, incredibly comfortable and well suited for the rain, grit and motion of real life. Pants you'll want to pull out of your closet and wear everyday. Breathable and gifted with a true freedom of movement.

We went back to the drawing board here, with the goal of creating a superior cotton twill pant. We started with our 60/30 Cloth, a carefully considered blend of cotton (64%), micro-denier nylon (29%) and elastane (7%). You get all the comfort and good looks of a classic cotton khaki twill, but with the durability of a hiking parka and the four way stretch freedom of a bike short. We built them up using a waistband-free, military style construction. We added key loops, a stash pocket and hidden front button. For the pockets we turned to a linen-cotton blend for that cool natural toughness that only linen provides.

Sometimes we get down in the lab and swap things around. This time our Liberated Wool fabric that we used for our Peacoat and our Classic Hoodie pattern got real familiar. The result is a 2.5 layer wool softshell that is both breathable and warm, sewn up into a hooded jacket.

A beautiful yarn-dyed wool outer face and fleece interior keeps out the weather while keeping you moving in comfort and style. We've got your head covered with a three panel drawstring hood and hidden cord pulls. Nylon/merino cuffs won't slip and the raglan sleeves make for ease of movement. The Minimal Backpack

Like many Outlier products, this adventure started with the material. In one of our many fabric hunts we stumbled across something very different, almost alien. Insanely lightweight, fully waterproof and many times stronger than steel. Technically it's called nonwoven Dyneema, and we knew when we saw it we would have to do something with it. We just didn't know what.

When we encountered the elegantly pared back nonwoven Dyneema packs of Hyperlite Mountain Gear we knew we had to do something with them. We became one of their very first customers and then started about what we could make together. The result is the Minimal Backpack.

The premise was simple; what was the simplest and lightest pack we could make that was still suitable for daily use? Nonwoven Dyneema is an insanely expensive material, even by Outlier standards. It's also extremely difficult to sew, so producing a simple yet highly functional design is crucial to making this stuff work. Thankfully Mike St. Pierre of Hyperlite has been working with the material over the past few years and has even built a small factory in Biddeford Maine. By the time Outlier got involved most of the hard work was done. We met up with Mike out in Utah this past summer and swiftly came up with a plan to birth the Minimal Backpack. A roll top backpack that's waterproof and packs down to fit into a jacket pocket.
